Clerk's office and development

The town Clerk’s office is involved in the municipal council’s activities. It is the clerk or assistant clerk who acts as secretary and offers the judicial and administrative support necessary to hold assemblies. The clerk’s office insures the legality of the regulations and their enforcement, prepares public notices required by law and obtains approval of the regulations and resolutions if necessary. The clerk’s office is also responsible for the law regarding the access to documents of public organizations and of the protection of all personal information. The clerk’s office acts as a sort of guardian for the town archives. Finally, the clerk’s office is also in charge of public tender notices, as well as the annual notice of sale for taxes of any building. The clerk’s office acts as the Election President and supervises polls during municipal elections or referendums.

As for the development service, its responsibilities include planning and coordinating socio-economic projects on the town’s territory. Its objectives are to maintain, consolidate and develop local economy as well as accompany and support economic actors in their undertakings and development projects.
