
The municipal court is responsible for the administration and recovery of all fines emitted on the Town’s territory in regard to provincial laws (highway safety code, laws regarding off-road vehicles, etc.) for civil suits and various municipal regulations. It ensures that all defendants wishing to do so can be heard by a tribunal and that a judgement is rendered.
Court is in session Mondays at 9:30 AM and Wednesdays at 6:30 PM. It is chaired by a judge selected by Québec’s Minister of Justice.
The following municipalities are served by Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts’ municipal court : Amherst, La Conception, Montcalm, Val-Morin, Nominingue, Brébeuf, Lac-Supérieur, Saint-Faustin-Lac-Carré, Val-des-Lacs, Huberdeau, La Minerve, Sainte-Lucie-des-Laurentides, Arundel, Labelle, Lantier, Val-David, and Barkmere.
