Situated at the heart of the tourist region of the Laurentides, the Town of Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts stands out with its unique particularities. In fact, Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts is a town filled with services situated in a natural environment, surrounded by mountains, lakes and forests.

Walking in the downtown area of Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, means getting in touch with nature, which is omnipresent. No matter where you go, you will see a mountain or a part of the vast spread of lac des Sables.

    Situated at the heart of downtown, Place Lagny is the preferred meeting place for outdoor shows and the practice of family activities. The bike path which runs through it meets up with the Petit Train du Nord linear park.

    In the fall, during les Journées de la culture, many activities are organized in the downtown area. It is also the weekend when the colours are at their most beautiful.


  • Métiers d'artThe fifth edition of l'Été des Métiers d'art will be held on 2, 3 and 4 September 2016, to Place Lagny, under the chairmanship of honour of Michel Rochon. It will offer visitors a summer version of the already established crafts Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts event during the holiday season. A show of Arts and crafts in a pastoral setting where the quality of the products is of equal as the warm welcome of the exhibitors.

    Patrimonial circuit

    A one hour stroll in the downtown area through the walking circuit will give you the opportunity to discover 18 points of interest and more than 150 years of history in this community rich with history. The village’s architecture and great inns which line the town will give you a taste of the history of the Pays d’en Haut which is echoed through North-Eastern American states.   • The beaches

    The beaches

    Plage Major
    Major beach is in proximity to the campground and the sailing school. It is the largest beach of Lac des Sables.

    Plage Tessier
    This beach is located on rue Major. It is the second largest beach on Lac des Sables, and the ideal place to relax under the sun and take advantage of the peaceful atmosphere offered by the Laurentides.

    Plage Sainte-Lucie
    Located at the heart of Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts’ downtown area, on rue Larocque , tje plage Sainte-Lucie gives residents and visitors the opportunity to cool down while taking advantage of all that the downtown area has to offer.

  • Bicycle trails and Parc linéaire le P'tit Train du Nord.

    Situated at kilometre 45 of the linear park le P'tit Train du Nord, the old Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts train station, is host to cyclists who use the 200 kilometre well known corridor.

    Bicycle trails and Linear Park le Petit Train du Nord

    A bike path which begins at the station takes visitors on their bikes through the downtown area and Place Lagny on their way the Campground and plage Major.

    From the parc linéaire le P'tit Train du Nord, it is also possible to go to Saint-Donat via Sainte-Lucie-des-Laurentides, by taking the Inter-Vals trail. This circuit is approximately 40 kilometres.

  • Cross-country ski center at the Camping Sainte-Agathe

    Cross-country ski center at the Campground

    This family center is for skiers of all levels. The 48 km of cross-country ski trails and the 12 kilometres of snowshoe trail where it flows in one direction, criss-crossing a wooded area and are maintained mechanically. The quality of tracks makes it one of the busiest sites in the Laurentians.
